Kabel Fire Resistant  digunakan khusus untuk bangunan yang telah memenuhi persyaratan keselamatan yang tinggi seperti: emergency power supply station, pembangkit listrik, pabrik industri, pertambangan, stasiun kereta api, lokasi pembuatan kapal dan lepas pantai, lokasi pemrosesan data, sistem alarm, sistem ventilasi, eskalator, lift, sistem pencahayaan darurat, dll.
Kabel ini memiliki fitur tidak mengeluarkan gas beracun atau korosif jika terjadi kebakaran karena menghasilkan asap rendah dan bebas halogen serta mencegah penyebaran api. Untuk memastikan kinerja kabel tahan api, dilakukan pengujian sesuai dengan IEC 60331 (Sebelumnya IEC 331), BS 6387, SS 299 atau standar yang setara.
