Kabel NYCY yaitu kabel tegangan rendah dengan perisai (low voltage screened) dengan inti tembaga yang di-anil-kan pemanasan kemudian didinginkan pelan-pelan) dengan sistem isolasi PVC. Dilapisi pelindung bagian dalam PVC dan dilengkapi dengan screen Copper Wire, serta pelindung atau lapisan terluar PVC. Tegangan nominal antara 600/1000 V.
Kabel jenis ini biasa digunakan untuk pemasangan instalasi dalam dan luar ruangan.
